I love playing bridal shower present bingo. You ask people to make their own bingo board with different gifts that the bride might receive - they are all guaranteed the free space AND their own gift! Then they mark them off as the bride opens presents. It makes the present opening time SO much more interesting!

It was called name the bride - list of men (famous or not) with blanks. The person who guessed the most brides wins

We played Purse power!
This is a great game! Have all the guests have their purses in front of them for this game. Make a list (beforehand) of common and uncommon things that can be found in a woman's purse. Assign each item a point value. (hairbrush might be worth 2 points, lipstick 3 points/5 if it is red, mirror...etc.) Uncommon items should have a higher point value (lotion, staple remover....you get the idea!) Liven things up a bit and put down a condom and value that at 20 points! The list is endless and is great fun! Keep the items simple and not too uncommon or you may wind up with an unhappy guest who doesn't have anything but a wallet in her purse!!

One time we played "chubby bunny" at a bridal shower but instead said the couple name. If you don't know what the game is you shove as many marshmallows in your mouth and have to say the word "chubby bunny" without spitting any out, and you have to be able to hear it too. My family is weird.

My bridal shower is in TWO days! I can't wait! My twin sister is my maid of honor and we have NO secrets so I know everything... the theme is "A Day At the Ballgame" (I'm a huge Red Sox fan). We're having a cookout outside with sausage, peppers and onions, Richies Italian Slush, Cupcakes, etc. I'm excited, thanks for the giveaway! I'd love to give back to my sister for all her work!

My friends bridal shower was memorable as we went to an old southern plantation house that had a fabulous restaurant. We played the standard games how many kids will you have, the bride gives words and they are put into funny statements etc. They were fun but the environment of the plantation is what made it extremely memorable.

I love when someone writes down some of the things that the bride to be says as she's opening her gifts. When she's done, you read some of the funny things she said...could get pretty dirty and is a lot of fun!

My most memorable bridal shower was my own, and I suppose it was most memorable because it was for me! Since it was 33 years ago, I don't remember if we played any games! It was a lovely party!

I liked this game where the bride to be had to answer questions about her soon to be husband, and each wrong answer was a piece of bubble gum she had to add to her mouth...it becomes a big wad real quick!

It has been a long time since I have been to a bridal shower, and to be honest, I don't remember any particular game that was played. Guess my group of friends was a little dull! I do like a couple of the ones that others played, according to the posts listed though.

I think it is interesting that in the culture of my friends from Mexico, they have instead of bridal or groom parties, they have a "goodbye to single people" shower, which is almost as big as a wedding, the families involved all bring something (like a potluck) and everyone dances and gives gifts. We have been to many of these throughout the years!

I appreciate a bridal shower where the bride was terminally ill and we knew this was a celebration of her life and a way for her to meet some of her goals during her limited time.

The most memorable bridal shower I remember was the first one I went to...I was about 12 and EVERY gift she was given was something dirty. I remember going home with a lot of questions for my mom, haha!

There was a game played throughout the shower where you had a clothespin, and every time you caught someone crossing their legs you got to take theirs (and if you crossed yours, yours were taken). The girl with the most at the end got a prize.

I would have to say my own wedding shower was awesome (of course I'm divorced now). At one point I rec'd some really sexy underthings. I asked if everyone wanted to see how they looked? I got some strange looks, then threw the garments on the floor. Everyone laughed hysterically!

The bridal shower that stands out the most to me was on a boat. It was elegant and fun.

Hot Potato!
The host puts different items in boxes like a shower cap, panties, Groucho glasses, flower corsage, "old lady" style hat, clown shoes etc. Music is played and everyone passes a box at a time. When the music stops the person with the box has to wear what is in it for the rest of the party or at least until a picture is made of everyone in their "hot potato".

The best bridal shower game was a fill in list where you had to find things out about other people in the room, write it down, and then transfer the names into a bingo card which was empty. The hostess then put everyone's name in a hat and pulled out specific things related to specific people " Like Wendy is wearing a hat". If you had that phrase or answer from that person you would cross it off and the first person to make a BINGO was the winner.

The one game that I really like is where you sit down the future groom and ask him questions about the bride and/or his past and videotape it. Then you can either play that you guess how many answers the bride will match or I've played to see who knows the groom best-the guests or future bride. It's fun because it's interactive and it's different.
